Cristian and Layla continue to support Fish as he deals with his parents rejection. Kyle returns to working at the Hospital. Later Fish is called to work to investigate Jared's allegations about the stalker. Cristian and Layla bond over their concern for Fish. Layla admits her own mother would freak if she found out she was a lesbian. Then she tells Cristian he means a lot to her and Cristian admits that she means a lot to him as well.

Cristian and Layla are Fish's support system when his parents arrive a day early and he to come out to his parents.

Cristian and Layla celebrate Oliver's heroic efforts during the drug bust but Oliver's parents arrive unexpectedly.

Carlotta jumps to the wrong conclusion when she spies Cristian with the book on how to come out to your parents. Cristian tries to explain but Carlota goes off on a hilarious tangent much to Layla's amusement. Cristian denies that he is gay and eventually Layla confirms that the book was purchased on behalf of a friend.

Later on, Layla is able to convince Cristian to give the book to Fish himself as they laugh over the day's circumstances. Cristian is shocked that his mother actually jumped to the conclusion that he was gay but Layla explains that his mother wants him to be happy and find the perfect woman. Cristian says that it is too bad that Layla has sworn off men.

Cristian arrives at the diner and right away Carlotta (now played by Saundra Santiago) detects that something is wrong. Layla tries to help Fish prepare for his parent's imminent arrival but he is not willing to give it much consideration. Layla meets Cristian for lunch to talk over their roommates fear of coming out to his parents. In preparation, Cristian has purchased a book that he thinks they should give to Fish. Layla is impressed and touched and tells Cristian if she hadn't sworn off men, she would kiss him. They argue over who should give Fish the book (Layla thinks Fish should be aware of Cristian's thoughtfulness) while Cristian refuses out of concern for his macho image.

Cristian and Layla lend a sympathetic ear to Fish as he deals with the reality of his parents impending arrival. Fish decides he can't come out to his parents while Layla tries to reassure him that things will work out. Fish heads off to take a shower and Cristian and Layla start cooking in the kitchen. Cristian isn't so sure that Layla is okay and sees through her denials that she is more concerned about Fish. Layla convinces Cristian that she thinks she can get past her hurt and pain and then thanks Cristian for always looking out for her by hugging him. Cristian is visibly affected when Layla informs him that she is swearing off men.

Fish finally comes out to Cristian and Layla. He apologizes for lying to them and tries to explain how everything got so twisted up for him. They are extremely sympathetic to his situation and refuse his offer to move out.

Layla continues to blame herself but Cristian refuses to allow it. As they are getting dressed for work, she apologizes to him and thanks him for telling her the truth when she needed it the most. They hug (first time in over a year) and of course Fish walks in and interrupts. Cristian offers to give them privacy but Fish asks them to remain and finally confesses that he is indeed gay.

The morning after Fish and Layla's confrontation, Cristian is in the kitchen having breakfast. He listens attentively as she tries to explain the chain of events from the night before. Layla blames herself and her insecurities take over. Fish wakes up in Stacy's bed with a massive hungover. He recollects the events from the night before realizing Kyle confronted him at Rodi's.

No Cristian today :( but Layla confronts Fish and he tries to deny that he is gay. Tika Sumpter gave a brilliant performance. (Included for storyline purposes)
