Unbeknownst to Layla, Cristian investigates the status of her date with Fish. Fish denies that he is really dating Layla but later suggests that she might want to apply for a position as John Mcbain's Administrative Assistant at the Llanview Police Department. Fish leaves to head to the gym where he runs into Kyle who apologizes for their last encounter. Fish can't deal with the tension so he voluntarily mentions that he lives with Layla and that they are dating. Meanwhile, Cristian and Layla share a fun moment when he teases her about becoming "Officer Layla" and she dismisses his concerns about Layla working with and living with a man she's dating.
